Imperial Jupiter: A planet sourcebook for Rocket Age RPG

Created by Why Not Games

Jupiter, largest planet in the Solar System, has finally been detailed for the Rocket Age RPG. As a setting book, Imperial Jupiter offers the detail, iconic NPCs, and story hooks you would expect from a Rocket Age product.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

Imperial Jupiter is Shipping!
over 5 years ago – Wed, Dec 19, 2018 at 02:56:31 PM

We have received word from our fulfillment partner that Imperial Jupiter is now shipping out of the warehouse! You should be getting shipment notifications from the carrier in the next few days, that is if you haven't already gotten one.

If you want, we would love to see pics of your new Rocket Age book, either here or on the Why Not Games Facebook page. You can also go there for daily Rocket Age one sentence story hooks, news about upcoming products, and other information. Rocket Age has its own fan page, feel free to post about your game, discuss the setting, or ask rules questions.

Imperial Jupiter at the Fulfillment Center
over 5 years ago – Fri, Dec 14, 2018 at 02:54:46 PM

Imperial Jupiter print copies have arrived at the fulfillment center and are being processed, packed, and shipped! We are in line behind a few other kickstarters and have been told packages should be leaving the center next week. Depending on where you are in the world and how long it takes packages to travel, you might be getting your books before Christmas!

We will send out an update when the books are leaving the distribution center. Krystal and I really enjoy the images of people's kickstarter goodies that pop up on social media. If you would like to, we would love to see your Imperial Jupiters on the Why Not Games Facebook page!

Imperial Jupiter is at the printer!
over 5 years ago – Sat, Dec 08, 2018 at 08:38:09 AM

We received the third proof of Imperial Jupiter and the issues have been fixed, and the printer has been cleared to begin printing. Once printed, the books will be sent to the fulfillment center and then on to backers. As both our printer and fulfillment center are in the US, there will not be the long wait on a slow boat from China you so often find in tabletop kickstarters.

Once the books are on the way to the fulfillment center we will let everyone know.

Thank you for your patience and support.

As a small sidetone, last night we began playtesting for the next Rocket Age product.

T-24 hours and Counting

Greetings all,

The pdfs for Imperial Jupiter and all add-ons will be going out tomorrow. You will receive an email with the appropriate links to download the files. We will leave a window open for 7 days during which if you find an error in Imperial Jupiter you can send it to [email protected]. For those Rangers who recall the long ago early days of Rocket Age, yes, you still get to tell your GM you have a free Story Point if you find an error*. If they argue, tell them Ken said so.

The latest proof from the printer is still showing some errors. We have been in communication with the printer and it is not our file (which according to the printer is 'perfect', good job Krystal) but something wrong at the print shop. The good news is that instead of having some of the chapters off by around 1 cm, it is just the Metis chapter. We are working to get this corrected so that we can begin print fulfillment.

Thank you for your patience, and keep an eye out for the pdfs!

*These Story Points are non-transferable, have negligible value, and are void in Kostrast, Demarcation Point One, and other localities. Limit one free Story Point per person, not per error. GMs are encouraged to assign this free Story Point to their favorite villains. Why Not Games is solely responsible for the incredible amounts of fun you will have with free Story Points.

Production Update #5
over 5 years ago – Fri, Nov 02, 2018 at 07:03:36 PM

We are behind schedule, but not by much. The first round of proofing is done and we have had a second print produced and it is now in our hands. There are a few issues we need to fix with the printer so that the books are perfect, right now we are trying to sort out why some pages are off center by a few millimeters.

Once the final review is done we will be making any necessary changes and getting the pdf out. Hopefully, as they say around here, if the weather holds and the creek doesn't rise, sometime late next week. Print fulfillment will begin as soon as the printer and shipper can manage it.

In the meantime, here are some pics of the proof. We are pleased beyond all reason to have the first Rocket Age supplement with our logo on the back cover and spine. Our son commented that we won't have to put Why Not Games stickers over the old logo, and as he helped sticker the 1,000 or so books we inherited from C7 he would know.
